Glaicer 2009

Last week Linda and I went on vacation to Glacier Park in Montana. We went hiking every day 8-10 miles. We saw wildlife (bears, badger, deer, big horn sheep, mountain goats and birds), most of the wildlife was viewed through spotting scopes. The picture below is of Grinnell glacier and Grinnell pond.
One of our hikes was on the Hi-Line trail. This trail runs along the continental divide for eight miles. Most of the trail looks just like the picture below.
The Hi-Line trail goes to the Granite Park Chalet. We had supper at the chalet (bad freeze dried food) and we spent the night in the chalet. This chalet is one of the last two of the old back country chalets.
