Deadwood South Dakota

We went visit Deadwood, Deadwood has been listed as a national historic landmark The folks in Deadwood asked the South Dakota government to let them have gambling in town, so they could raise money to restore the town. There are slot machines on the first floor of almost every building on main street, and a restaurant on the second floor We visited boot hill in Deadwood, to see Will Bill Hickock and Calamity Jane's graves. This was not the original boot hill or the original graves, the cemetery was move to make room for the town, but the town play it up anyway.

We also saw Wild Bill, He wanders around Deadwood and gets shot 4 times a day in Nuttal & Mann's Saloon No.10. This wasn't the original location for the No. 10 Saloon, or the shooing, they move location of the saloon when they rebuild the town after a fire.
