Ironing board.

The old house had a built-in ironing board. We have started to restore the ironing board. Over the weekend I took the ironing board out of it's cabinet and gave the cabinet a coat of paint. Tonight I should be able to put it back together and start working on the ironing board cover. It needs a custom made cover.

Moving the washer and dryer .

We have started the work to move the washer and dryer to the sewing room. You can see the location of the washer (with the top open) and the dryer. Also, we have decided on two shelves above the washer and dryer.

Its spring!!

It's spring and the bears have started to come out of hibernation. The bears have been sleeping in plastic boxes in the basement, but today one of them came up to visit. I'm not sure where he will finally settle, but he is currently living in the bookcase, watching the lake.

Making pudding.

Will came to visit for a couple of days while Lauren was trying to get back from Florida. Linda entertained Will making pudding.

Adding heat to the 3 season room.

When it got cold this year, we lost the use of the 3 season room. Over the past week I installed heat in the room. The heat consists of 2 powered heaters that fit between the floor supports in the basement and blow heated air into the room. These heaters normally go under kitchen cabinets. My heating contractor wanted me to use these heaters in this room, if the room is unused for a length of time, the heating pipes would not freeze. This project requires woodworking, plumbing, and electrical work. I get to use all of my tools.

New Rug

We found a new rug for the big room. Now Linda is looking for funiture to complete the room.

More wildlife at the lake.

During coffee this morning we had another visitor walk accross the front yard.
