Another Eagle

In February of 2011 Linda and I went to visit Cindy and Terry in Savannah GA.  One of the things that I purchased in Savanna was a cast iron eagle lamp. The Savannah Iron eagle story can be found here.

The eagle ended up mounted in the art garage.

Cindy and Terry came to visit us this weekend and they brought me the missing mate of my cast iron eagle.  Now I have a matched set.  This eagle will be mounted nest to the other eagle in the art garage.

Maybe the eagles will produce cast iron eagle door stops.

Thanks Cindy and Terry, I knew my life was missing something and now the hole has been filled with another eagle.

Moving the shed

I had a couple of stumps that needed to be removed, but the shed was in the way.  I put the shed on a couple of planks, wrapped a big strap around the shed, and hooked the shed to the tractor.

After I hook the shed to the tractor, I pulled and pushed the shed to a new location.

Now that the shed has been moved, I can start to work on the stumps.

Turtles in the yard.

I was mowing the yard on Saturday and I had to stop because I saw a baby turtle. I looked aroung some more and I saw a number of baby turtles heading for the lake.  I think there were at least 10 turtles maybe more. All of the turtles were covered with dirt so I think that they had just come out of their nest.  We looked but we couldn't find the nest.
