Sewing room painting done.

The sewing room painting is done, It took the painters a week to get everything sanded, primed and painted. The next project is to install heat in the three season room. If we get some heat in the room, we might get 3 seasons use out of it this year.

Camel Saddle Bags.

We have been looking for rugs for the house. While looking for rugs we found a camel saddle bag. We had the saddle bag cut into to seperate pouches, and stuffed. We will used the pouches as floor pillows, and at some point I will make some stools for the bags.

Painting the sewing room.

The painters are back this week to finish up the sewing room. We need to get knobs for the cabinets, and then Linda can start filling them up.

Final Building Inspection

Today the building inspector came over and completed the final building inspection. The building inspector liked my fire door on the boat cave, and everything else about the house.

As soon as the front yard melts we can start on the yard work.

Fire Door part 2.

I build a door for the boat cave this weekend. I finaly had a place to mount the sign that Lauren made for me last christmas. Ben and Ryan were at the house this weekend so I had some help lifting the door.

The boat cave needs a fire door

When the fire department came to do their inspections, they told me that I would need a fire door on the boat cave. I need to build this door before I get the final inspection from the building inspector. The door will need to be solid wood 1.75 inches thick. I hope to build the door next weekend, so here is a before picture.

The murphy bed.

I was reviewing the pictures that I had in the blog, and I noticed that I had not put in the final pictures for the murphy bed. The murphy bed turns our office, computer room, sewing room, to a guest bedroom. When we get a house full, Will sleeps in the master bathroom, Lauren and Ryan get the master bedroom, Ben and Kerrylee get the guest bedroom and Linda and I get the murphy bed.

Fold down the bed.

The bed is firm but comfortable.
